I think Nexon got its shit together though, there's a shitload of quality of life changes... everything seems more reasonable nowadays. Even the cash shop has become merciful, with pets coming built in with magnets and shit, entire skill/ap reset cards, and now that it's mesos only it's pretty neat.

I also never played a basic adventurer because I think they were boring. I liked the Resistance classes though. I might go Xenon again though. he stood out the most because he's a hybrid job (Thief/Pirate), and has no resemblance to either (uses a whip sword)
He also has 3 core stats (STR, DEX and LUK I think)

I think all upgrades are done through star-force which is relatively simple. It's better than cubes anyways.

I tried to get into this game recently while trying to bypass a restriction in Vindictus, and I actually liked it and wanted to play more. The problem was, the controls blew enough ass that I couldn't be bothered to play it or install a key rebinder third party program.

recently downloaded this shit in preparation for the new patch. Already ready to uninstall it. The stupid Nexon launcher refuses to download anything unless it's being installed in the fucking root of the C:\ drive. So I had to install it on steam even though I really don't want people to know that I tried to play this faggot game again, and everytime I run the stupid game it changes my resolution and reorganizes all the files on my desktop into one boxed off area, resizes open windows and everything. This fucking update better be worth it.
