While Roche is far and away the superior character, I certainly don't hate Iorveth.
The worst thing he has going against him is that you have to fully commit to his side of the story before he opens up to you. He's one of the most flawed and interesting characters in the series from that point on.
Iorveth, Vergen is the place to be to get ploughed with dwarf bros and swap stories with them.
Plus, Vergen by night is some comfy as fuck music.

Brilliant, the lockon system is shit, you turn your back on the enemy all the time which lets them hit you for double damage, the animations are fucking RNG onwhether you will do a slow as fuck spin towards the enemy and cutscenes cancel your quen. Also you're hardly ever given a chance to apply oils or drink potions because you have to meditate beforehand.

Yes if you select "yes" on the simulate save option when you will get the option to choose your W2 choices in Vizima as part of the main quest. Minor choices like the tattoo don't carry over unless you import.

I actually really like how they played up that entire thing. It wasn't done in a way certain other RPG developer would handle by character having a significant or emphasizing his opinion through dialog. Roche just shrugs it off until he beats the living shit of the guy who called him a whoreson and wasn't one of the Stripes.

They're not, it's just that your DISTANCE to the enemy also factors what animation you're going to do. If you target a distant enemy Geralt will transition into a lunge attack to reach him. I don't get how come people don't understand this.

I first played Roche's and he was an interesting character that I enjoyed hanging around with but after I started over on Iorveth's path I felt like Roche's path was complete shit in comparison, at least in terms of the story. I think it's probably best from a story stand point to play Iorveth's first for the story (like, fuck, you don't get to see any shit with Saskia on Roche's) and then do Roche's to bro around with him.
