ITT: game is fun until >that mission
I'll start with stronghold's "carving a path".
As a kid I didn't speak English well and from what I understood at the time was that the goal was to cross through the castle and to the swamp. I could easily achieve that, but was tearing my fucking hair out when the mission refused to end because i didn't kill all the garrison. My uncle just beat it for me one day while I was at school.
Best part isyou get to fight through this funhouse again in later mission
any sewer level in a Japanese game
Homoworld 2 mission 3
Fucking only beat that shit years later when /v/ told me where the god damn probes are.
>enemies start to use Blaze 3 and Freeze 3
Game was fun while it lasted.
And it's only in the fucking western version.
Jap version has things set to their normal values.
SFCD also uses the normal values, but rebalances both enemies and allies so it's not quite the same as the game gear version.

If you're that bad, how did you manage to get past the tutorial mission?
>>318259254
>that fucking mission
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I wanted to finish that game so bad, I only ever played the sandbox when I was a kid and was nostalgian on it, then started playing the campaign and found that there was more to Stronghold, and that it was pretty good
It's still installed, just sitting there and mocking me
>>318259254
dragon age origins, the fade
>>318259254
There's a catapult exploit you can use to level all the towers and gates. It works better on the second mission of this map though, since the first has a fucking time limit....
>those trees that would randomly pop in and blow up the plane
>>318262919
>catapult exploit
Never in my years have i heard of such a thing. Please enlighten me, anon.
>>318259254
That goddamn mission is "game is fun until >that mission" the post.
I remember succumbing to some really retarded exploit where you put the game on speed 90 and abused the tiny extra range you get with archers when you use the Attack Ground, and slowly withering the enemy arrow by arrow, minute by minute, while I wondered WHO THE FUCK DESIGNED SUCH A MOTHERFUCKING SHITTY MISSION
The submarine base sucks dick. In deus ex.
The fade in dragon age, first time it was really fun though.
Used to play this for hours when i was a kid. This fucker, never beat him, never knew what to do, until i was like 10 and understood more of the english language.
>>318261508
are you fucking serious ? That's a tutorial level you turd
>>318263069
What you do is, you select your siege weaponry, hover the mouse over them and__________Git Gud_________
Jihad! In AoE2. Fuck that wonder building little shit.
>>318263068
>>318264368
nice meme
Odin sphere and the snow/lava levels since you get screwed out of your S rank by the terrain damage most of the time before you're allowed an action to counter it.
>Jedi Outcast
>Everything before getting a lightsaber
>>318263068
>there are people who didn't jack the Shamal from LS International right at the start and didn't start practicing flying early on in the game to have it completely mastered by the time they reach Verdant Meadows
>>318264557
You're a fucking casual who shouldn't be playing driving games if you can't master this mission. They even included a shortcut for absolute morons.
>>318264749
The laps didn't count if you used the shortcut though
>>318264646
>there are people on /v/ RIGHT NOW who can't fly the Hydra better upside down than right side up
>and they can't even fly it through tunnels upside down
>with keyboard controls
Fucking amateurs, the lot of them.
>>318264557
I must be the only one who really, really liked this race, independently from how horrendously hard it was. The setting is absolutely beautiful, they completely nailed the look and feel of a classic monoposto race.
>>318264557
What, the corridor shooting missions were much worse for me
>>318264821
With their Sanchezes and faggot cars.
>>318264368
You can do this mission with 1 minute and 30 seconds to spare. Just do the top one first and work top to bottom.
>>318264024
It's boring and tedious as fuck.
>>318263457
Ah fuck, i remember him.
He was the reason i give up and quit the game when i was a kid, fuck him.
>>318264557
>play this game
>everything's fucking sluggish
>movement, driving, fighting, all fucking sluggish
>get to the racing parts
>entire sections didn't load
>stuck in air for seconds at a time when I run into them
Made me drop it.
Played Stronghold Crusader as a kid and I couldn't get past "An Old Friend" mission with the pig. The mission was something I wasn't used to, because the Pig had an advantage over me and i was so close, that it fucked up my usual style of playing.
>>318265925
Fuuuuucking this.
>>318265925
Is this Dragon Age Origins? I also hated this...
>>318259254
That's the one where you have to storm that massive castle with not enough troops?
Yeah, that mission is brutal. I don't think I ever won that with more than like two or three guys left.
I always loved that the game was based on defense solely, and then they throw that piece of shit mission in. I'd like to play that game through again, but I won't do it solely because of that mission.
There's not even any cheats to get around that shit. Fuck that.
>>318267214
I honestly have no clue what you're talking about. When I played this game 10 years ago I sure as hell didn't get anything like that.
>>318267952
>people don't like Ravenholm
Too spooky or what? Father Gregory was the highlight of the game for me.
Ixa' taka story arc.
'nuff said.
>>318265064
mission is pretty easy but this approach is retarded. you don't have to return the heli after the last bomb so it makes no sense to go top first, leave the longest trip for last
>>318264557
I had to set it on easy to beat the race.
>>318270527
Mafia was a godtier game.
One of my top 5 most played games of all time.
>>318270527
>>318270809
Daily reminder pic related is by far the best bridge between two video games, I actually had to stop playing Mafia 2 for a few good hours when I got to this part.
>>318270971
>That gut-sinking feeling when you realize why you have to drive that red car and can't change it
>>318270971
Yeah, if I'm gonna be completely honest, I think I cried a little bit when I first beat mafia.
The ending is fucking gutwrenching, you get so connected to the PC!
>>318261508
>everyone is always complaining about the fade
>when it's actually not too bad and at least trying to add some variety
>then there's the deep roads
>>318270971
They even use the same car as the first game
>>318264557
I played Mafia like seven times most of them in combo with a friend. He did the shooting, I drove. That was still the hardest part.
>>318271375
The problem with the fade if you replay it is that you cant just stick with the main parts since then you toss away the tasty extra stats. Also you have to constantly backtrack to use the other forms
nearly all this planet on kotor 2, shit was really painful and long
>>318263457
Played this on the PC, he was alright, I remember him being a bitch sometimes but really later on in the game there is the Hydra who is a fucking monster and a Pegasus level near the end-game... My god.
Great game.
