Lost my other thread
I have an r9 390x
Need a motherboard, processor and headphones
Can spend £50 on headphones, £50 on motherboard and up to £200 on processor. The less I spend the better because I want an SSHD too.
I appreciate any advice
Forgot to mention, I want headphones that have 7.1 surround sound preferably
ASUS H110M K D3 - Socket 1151
i5 6400
Dunno for the headphones.

Another thing, I only have a 500w PSU, is this going to be sufficient?
>>318254961
It gonna be okay, but not sure it will sustain a full charge depending on the quality of the PSU.
You already have the 390X?
A 290x would have been only 5-10% less efficient than the 390 but much cheaper.
>>318255113
I got the 390x for £289 and they're worth £350 so I thought i'd go for it over the 290x

This isn't video games. There's a board for this.
Also, you can do this yourself.

How the fuck did you buy a video card but not have a mobo and processor ready?
>>318255331
What do you mean? I'm getting them all for christmas so it's fine. Thought i'd get the 390x whilst it was on offer
>>318255240
That's a very good offer you did well.
Just be careful anon, always get every other component ready at the same time to avoid bad surprises / budget block.

Logitech G430 for headset
>>318255694
Yeah I was thinking that myself, thanks
>>318254439
look up how much is xeon 1231 v3 in brittland, and get that, and spend the rest on a h97 mobo
>>318255245
>There's a board for this.
what board and are they cunts about helping like /v/?
I put in my components roughly on PC Part Picker and the estimated Wattage was about 482W. I only have a 500W PSU like I said, should I get a 650W PSU to replace it or do I not have to?
>>318255925
/g/. sometimes they're great, sometimes they're shitheads, you just have to get lucky
>>318255974
its usually safer to estimate 100 over what pc part picker recommends, but i would suggest getting a second opinion on /g/
>>318255389
>I'm getting them all for christmas so it's fine
So basically... you're a underage poorfag begging parents to buy you shit. Get off 4chan.
>>318255974
Why would you get a 390x, if you only have 500w psu?
>>318255240
>got the r9 290 for 300
>but sold my old gtx 760 for 160
Feels good man
>>318254839
>telling him to buy the meme socket
>>318257065
Slightly higher performances and durability for a bit more of price, what's the matter?
>>318257305
Nah nothing.
I just realized this faggot OP didn't say if he already owns a mobo.
OP if you own a 1150 mobo go for a 4690k something
if not get the 1151

did they ever got around the card running extremely hot?
>>318257473
Tbh I had this issue more with Nvidia GPUs
>>318257426
If he has 1155 or even 1366 he probably shouldn't need to upgrade, just grab a 2600K or 920.
thats too low for a mobo. if you get a mobo that cheap you might as well skimp on the CPU too.
the mobo is one of those things that you realize after it's too late that you wasted money on a piece of shit.

>£50 on motherboard
Cheaping out on a motherboard is one of the worst things you can do.
People only cheap out on them because they dont realize the benefits of a decent mobo
Also why did you spend that much on the card but then...
>Can spend £50 on headphones, £50 on motherboard and up to £200 on processor.
>>318257530
it seems to be dx11 causing most of it
i wonder why its not getting fixed
>>318257682
More expensive mobos are usualy better built, have more ram slots support SLI and have more fan connectors. They are also way better if you are crazy about OCing, but in my opinion for an average user a 50 quid mobo is alright. It's alright for OCing as well to a certain degree. He is a jew tho. He should've gotten the r9 390 and used the saved money to get a better mobo.
>>318257682
I have a 100 bucks mobo but I openly admit I am totally clueless about mobos.
For me they're all the same, and I can't make the differences between two mobos for the same category.
>>318255613
Wouldnt ordering them one at a time not really effect bad surprises?
>>318258275
Its okay anon.
I cant tell the difference between all computer parts of the same category
>>318258526
>>318254439
You do not want that nice expensive graphics card and a 200$ cpu in a 50$ motherboard.
Buy a good motherboard for 100$ and a cheaper cpu for 150$.
Like some i5 and a motherboard for it.
Or go for AMD cpu. Good motherboards are cheaper for AMD cpus.

This.
