Also, TW1 is pretty boring if you don't play it on hard, since you don't need to use potions and styles don't matter at all.

Most Platinum games get a lot more fun on their hardest diff, because it forces you to use all the mechanics.

Bullet sponge enemies are the only problem with highest difficulty and there are already mods that increase damage you take but do not decrease the damage you deal.
Also it's not an issue if you have stealth sniper build, you basically murder everyone 1 or 2 hits except for tougher super mutants and legendary monsters, although i wouldn't call them legendary because they are fucking everywhere.

Stalker mind.

In my opinion, Stalker has the most retarded gameplay ever. Rather than make enemies more difficult through increased HP (bullet sponges), the hardest difficulty makes them EASIER to kill. Because since you're easier to kill, so are they?

Granted, this would make perfect sense if the game didn't have the "realistic" gun and aiming mechanics. And by realistic, I mean bullshit. I'm sorry, I just shot out my 30-06 to get ready for hunting and I can't shoot for shit and the gun barrel is 30 years old, but I still hit the target from 50 yards.

Now if I tried this in Stalker, I'd miss by like 40 feet. Because it's a low quality. old, single shot rifle and STALKER is retarded.

In conclusion: "muh hardest difficulty" actually makes it easier, because the guns have terrible accuracy. Since you have to hit less to kill the enemy.

To be fair, Metal Gear Rising wasn't too exciting until playing it on Very Hard and Revengeance difficulties. That's when it bumps up from just Hack and Slash to CUHRAYZEE with the level of skill and flair needed to make it through the game.

Shit I forgot all about that. It would still be a pain in the asshole though. Just on normal difficulty and I can get killed by some jobber if he manages to get 5 seconds of consecutive shooting at me. This is with full health, no rads and good armour.

Higher difficulties that makes you take and deal more damage are great, because it actually forces you to play in a very different way. Rather than going in guns blazing you might have to scout the place out first, or use stealth or do any other number of things to make the encounter go smooth.

Not to mention the feeling of accomplishment when you pull off something amazing in a dire situation when a single bullet could kill you.
