The problem with Sawano is that a lot of his more grandiose tracks feel too similar after a while, including Unicorn. He has a signature style, but it's almost like the musical equivalent of sameface at times. That being said, I think his work in XCX is one of his better contributions to the world. It's no Unicorn, but Unicorn was really fucking top notch.
In fact, I bet Sawano composed the soundtrack to XCX purely because Takahashi, a fan of Gundam, heard his work in Unicorn and thought the dude would be a good fit.

Really hope Takahashi ditches the custom protagonist for X's sequel. Makes the story richer when the protag actually talks and contributes. You can have custom protagonists and also have them talk and contribute. You just have to be creative about it.
Make the protag blatantly a robot. The voice options are just slightly different modulations of the same voice data. Male and female is just different modulation and a different-looking body. Don't let the player name themselves, because that complicates things.
That's a terrible idea but you get the picture. The limiting factors are voice and name. Just let the player customize their looks and you're fine. If you want to include different voices, or gender, or whatever, that's fine, you just have to be more creative.

I think he's completely correct in his assessment of WRPGs and JRPGs. However, I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum to him. I greatly prefer the fantastical settings and stories of JRPGs over the more "grounded" ones based in realism of WRPGs.

From what a lot of reviewers say Nintendo gives them the most time to review a game. AAA tends to just give a few days at most (heard Fallout 4 got a week but who knows) while Nintendo gives them out a month in advance to get comfortable with the game and review it proper. Seem people only just started the game a bit after Fallout 4 since people put it off since it's the last big game out this year besides Just Cause 3.
