Wouldn't call it obscure, but I'd love a sequel to rayman arena. No one I knew played it, but I played the shit out of the racing mode (not so much the battle mode). It was basically a fast paced 3D platformer that felt really good to control, and it didn't have the issue that a lot of 3D platformers have of having trouble telling where you are in relation to the game world, because you only ever needed to be heading/facing one direction

I love how exploitable the second one is. You can literally skip entire main questlines with the water walking spell. Gamble to make tons of money and quickload when it doesn't work. If you run and jump at an angle you can scale mountains, effectively ignoring quests that require a gate to be unlocked. You can make insanely broken spells from the get go. Love that stupid game.
