The game is terrible but I like the art and the atmosphere. It's good if you have a nice surround sound setup, go to a nice part on a map, play some music. It's possible to have a little fun.
And some of those shots of Reimi are hot.

I enjoyed the gameplay, even if it was a step back. Music was decent although standard Sakuraba fare. And Myuria's myurias.
Rest sucked though.
There's a few good elements, but no, the game is awful. Play 2, Blue Sphere if you can into Moon, and 3 if you're the lenient kind of person who can enjoy mediocre games.

It was just barely passable, but not good enough for playthroughs on higher difficulties or the post-game stuff.
It had some good idea/stuff in it, but it was a miserable slog from high point to high point and a step down from SO3 in every aspect.

oh, I forgot to say, I prefer the Xbox 360 version because that way you can turn off the music, a TOTALLY underrated feature of the 360. For some reason Japanese devs are notorious for not letting you turn off their damned annoying ass music, but the Xbox 360 mandated it because playing your own music was a feature of the console. To turn off the music, all you have to do is hit play in the media browser and turn the music volume down.

I enjoyed SO4 but it had glaring flaws bad voice acting combined with maximum cheese lines, Shitty AI that just threw massive stats to compensate, Having to complete the game over and over to unlock higher difficulties(extra fucking grind), random hour long cutscenes without any warning, poorly explained mechanics(pretty much all the -ology skills).
For me the difficulty was the worst offender there is almost no incentive to farm the gathering skills or monster drops and explore the crafting system or use food or potions in fights until the hardest difficulty because you could just rip and tear through everything with the equipment that is sold in the shops or dropped in chests.
If it was multiplayer it would have been pretty great to co op with some bros.
It looks, sounds and plays like shit, so no.

Yeah the voices were pretty shit(except Laura Baileys characters of course) but I found the overall experience passable enough to want to finish the game
The only thing I was really disappointed in was the coliseum, after the one in 3 was its own little sidequest complete with voice acting and all, the one in 4 was really lack luster

I got SR4 for the PC and the only mod I got was to remove the mosaic and add appropriate genitals. It's not like there is any real reason to run around nude in that game compared to SR3, but it made the matrix escape scene funnier.
