>want to play a game
>remember THAT level
what is it?
in highsight this isn't very hard, but it led me to throw my gameboy at the wall many times as a kid.

Jak and Daxter is one of those games I always wanted to play but for one reason or another I never got around to it. I remember being obsessed with the original before it got released and thought Jak's design was awesome, but I didn't own a PS2.
Is the trilogy worth the time?
Earthworm Jim 2.
Every single level aside from the first one. It has so many gimmick levels it ain't even funny.

Jak and Daxter was great, 2 was trying to pander to edgy GTA teens and became shittier because of it.
Not terrible, but if you play them directly after one another, you're not going to like it very much.
It's not an evolution of the series, just a revamping of it, and not in a good way.

grind in Drakengard
checkpoint system in Viewtiful Joe
tendencies in Demon's Souls
endless trivial streetfights in Yakuza
not having more than 3 party members active in Xenoblade Chronicles
minigames in No More Heroes
most levels in DMC 4
etc
also getting used to controls of demanding games after months/years of not playing them.
Zero suit part of Zero Mission

I agree with most of these.
Yakuza was hampered by the street fights.
Both DMC3 and 4 are great, but the level design is only fun the first time.
And coming back to a game that you have to restart to relearn is always frustrating and puts me off ever returning.
>>318157529
thank god for mods.
>>318157529
I had to cheese that só hard... I dealt no damage to that boss for some reason. Had to back off and self regen before going back in for a strike. Rinse and repeat. Fuck me, I sucked hard at building a Jedi.
Was there an impact on the game depending oh which crystals you used? I remember they impacted blade length and sharpness, but the game never told you what those characteristics did, so I just took whatever colours/crystals had more raw damage.

Yeah I just quit at that point, I'm never going through that shit again
The water level in Devil May Cry.
It's always quicker and easier than I think it is though.
The part in FF7 right after Midgard where Cloud tells the story of his travels to Nibelheim with Sephiroth
I wonder if everyone would have claimed to hate blitzball as much if this first match hadn't been bullshit
>>318158068
i really dislike DMC 4 despite the amazing character mechanics and puppet enemies, everything else fell flat on its face.
>>318157897
>tendencies in demons souls
Just an hero at the nexus whenever you're in human form so every stage moves to light when you beat the bosses eventually ending in pure light.
After you have everything you need from pure light, pop human stones at each level and an hero your way to pure black and collect all the goodies.
No way to fuck it up... Unless you want to PVP.
Just spin and shoot
>>318157319
arkham city before the fight with clayface where joker sent out a billion guys and you get crushed by a train carriage
went through 3 controllers and started a new game on easy just to beat it
>Hey guys, let's make the flow of the game stop to have an NPC say I love you 100 times!
>Hey guys, let's make you search for an NPC all the way THROUGH THE ENTIRE WORLD only for it to be in the place you started
I like TTYD, but man, sometimes it can go fuck itself.
>>318158404
blitzball's not even hard, I swear I won that first game on my first try. Just watch your minimap instead of the retarded camera that fucks your pathing up and understand the bullshit "person behind you is now magically blocking" radius and blitzball is easy as shit.
>>318158404
I remember finally beating this after countless tries but only after I used a glitch where you score a goal and swim to the end of the field, causing the other players to swim in circles.
>>318158404
I would have claimed to hate blitzball as much if I didn't have to play it so many times to get the sigil.
>"Just reset!"
No thanks. I'd rather have my nicely leveled team that could easily win matches than to have to deal with level 1 aurochs.

>Not just hoverboarding through
>>318158932
Wouldn't. The bothered me enough to correct my own mistake before someone else did
>>318158404
That match was bullshit, but winning it was satisfying as fuck, especially when it's from a fluke shot from Wakka in the last minute of overtime
>>318157319
>not this on an hero mode
And Iceman's stage. And the Internet layout.
>>318158404
I loved Blitzball. It would never happen, but I'd fucking love a vita Blitzball game with characters from all FF/DQ games.
>>318159045
Used to have huge problems with that one, but when I replayed SA recently with mouse and keyboard, I did it on my first try. It's got fucked up controls, but it's easy.
