I guess the models and textures aren't really updated. Even if they managed to fix the resolution, drop-in and framerate, some of the graphical compromises were just hardbaked in and that will be translated to the port.
Doesn't really bother me and there MIGHT be room for user improvement.

I think they're trying to hype the game for PC gamers as the next instalment in the series, DD Online, is a F2P online game.
DD may be a good game, but at this point it's pretty obvious the series has been raped by the F2P jews. I wouldn't play the (very late) port not even if it was free as it's nothing but shilling to their newest scheme and the series has no bright future ahead anymore.

The problem is more the controls than anything, how the fuck do the skills work on a M+KB, considering you have to hold one of 2 triggers on a controller whilest mashing 1 of 6 other buttons on the controller to pull off attacks. Hold left/right mouse whilest trying to mash number keys and also trying to control movement? Curious to see how theyve made the controls work without a controller.

In DDO you use most attacks from a combination of CTRL, SHIFT and mouse buttons. Then you also have 1-0 keys (or F1-F12, can't recall) for other stuff
It's pretty shit by comparison, but playable.
I'll just use my comfy PS4 controller when DD PC comes out and play it that way. I hope Capcom isn't retarded and actually releases it with controller support.

And really... what kind of a faggot would wish for a Dragon's Dogma PS4 port anyway? Online is coming soon anyway, and after that propably DD2. So why the fuck would you want a pointless port for a new console? PC version is enough. Doing a PS4 or XcardboardboxOne version would be a waste of the developers time after those, and it would be taken out of time they could spend on the new game(s).

I really don't think it would be hard to grab the PC port as is and put it on the Xbone/PS4. Just like they did with FF7 and probably will to with PS4's Valkyria. With consoles being so similar it really wouldn't eat up any time.
Your "DDO/DD2 is comming out soon anyway, there's no point" argument also applies to PC.
On the other hand DD will probably run on any toaster so this doesn't affect anyone.
