I usually just Solo-Play the first Woodlands Map if I need money.
When it's just you busting up the items, it adds up QUICK.
If you're far enough, Sky World usually yields a good amount of Rupees even without Rupee Regalia, I made like 980 Rupees in one game.

The dungeons themselves are fun to play through and the base game is okay but between the terrible netcode, the waiting times for finding players now that the launch population has died down, how fucking abysmal the solo mode is and the lack of good communication options, the actual act of playing the game is horrible.
I bought it a couple of days ago and I'm tempted just leave it and only bother touching when I've got people to play online.

It's definitely not a BAD game. It's just not really a GOOD game. It's more Nintendo testing the waters of making a unique online multiplayer experience, which is what a lot of people look for nowadays with how stale most online multiplayer games tend to be.
But Nintendo's fear of communication causes most of their attempts to fall somewhat short, resulting in things like what the OP said. It's not a bad thing, but Nintendo really needs to work on their approach to communication in online gaming.

I remember playing the Sky Colliseum, and winning the Fabled Butterfly, took fucking 12 tries.
When we all went in the Lobby, I got chucked on a Players head while they both spammed "Noo!" And then he sat in a corner.
Obviously I couldnt fucking save, and if I quit I lost my item, so I stuck in my charger, and left it there.
Came back 30 minutes later, Im still on his head in the corner.
Eventually I just fucking shut the DS off. Grinded with one other buddy to get the Butterfly again.

When you look at the challenge board, it first shows you the completed ones from both singleplayer and multiplayer. You can tehn choose to look specifically at singleplayer or multiplayer completed levels so unless you're a super completionist, doing all the challenges in multiplayer should be good enough
