It's a boring square.
>>
>>318117292
I mean more the lights.
>>
yeah that's a boring square and also wait for mods to fix the settlement stuff before putting any amount of time into it
>>
>>318117370
They're crossing over the entrance to your house.
>>
>>318117227

Nigger you don't need to have your whole building surrounded by pylons and wires to get a light working.

Huge waste of copper.
>>
>>318117227
Don't put the generator on the roof. That looks terrible. If you absolutely need to have the genny on the roof for some dumb reason, you don't really need either of those two pylons. You certainly don't need the one on the floor. Use the conduits that point straight up; or just connect the genny directly to a conduit on the outer wall.

Which is the comfiest place to build? I am waiting as each one I find is comfort than the last. Boathouse fortress built on lake is winning the comfy battle so far.
>>
>>318117532
Hangman's alley. Comfy city rooftop access, and relatively centralized.

Isn't there already a bunch of crafting stuff available in a mod or a something?

>>318117487
I want the whole interior lit with lights.
>>
>>318117227
>putting the generator on the roof
>using the worst metal wall
>all that poorly used connectors
0/10 would not use
>>
>>318117532
Lighthouse if you like pretty views and space, hangman if you want compact and comfy.
>>
>>318117717
>pre-GECK mods
I'm almost certain they're not worth the download. If I wanted nothing but shitty retextures, I'd have bought the console version.

Yeah I'm sure the refugees packed in that slum will appreciate being able to very clearly see their horribly depressing living situation.
>>
>>318117915
There's a mod that expands the number of building structures by a huge amount, and a mod that changes the dialog wheel into a non-paraphrased list format.
>>
>>318117809

Haven't found that lighthouse yet. Already built up hang mans alley a bit by casting the whole bottom level into darkness. I seem to be able to build outside the limit at the boathouse by putting platforms in the lake. Wish they'd remove the size limit.

And a mod that lets you turn your current cell into a settlement.

my big shack manor.
even with that 3x settlement budget mod I still hit the limit just for the house and decorations inside while there's still shitloads of room outside to build a small town.

Just mod the settlement size limit out entirely, or drop a bunch of shit on the ground and manually scrap it
>>
Indefensible. Generator is a huge easy target and they'll go for it first. Though I guess I don't see any powered turrets connected to it.

Also clean up those fucking wires, Jesus. You shouldn't have to duck to get to the doorway.
>>
>>318118267

Put something up around that generator. They'll shoot at it and knock out your guns.
>>
>>318118121
Its on the far north east coast, have a look on the wiki for its location.

Pretty nice, have the lighthouse and a house as well as a warehouse and boat on the beach.

>There's a mod that expands the number of building structures by a huge amount
There's a console command that does the same thing.
>a mod that changes the dialog wheel into a non-paraphrased list format
All that does is show exactly how little your dialog choice matters, since all lines are virtually the same, and the only real difference was in the one-word paraphrase.
>>318118212
Also accomplished by a console command. All you have to do is spawn a workbench.
>>
>not putting all your generators in a metal box in the far far corner of your settlement so it cant be destroyed or heard

There is no penalty for running wires across your base for power, so there is no reason to have generators nearby.
>>
>>318118735
>There's a console command that does the same thing
Which is?
>All that does is show exactly how little your dialog choice matters, since all lines are virtually the same, and the only real difference was in the one-word paraphrase.
No, anon, not all the lines are virtually the same because /v/ likes spamming those, and either way, these are pretty good non-texture mods considering it's still pre-GECK.
>>
Pretty sure you only need like 1 conduit on top for the lights to work inside.
>>
>>318118823
Well, that takes more resources to actually build all that. That's the penalty.
