ITT: Endings that made you emtional
I knew what was coming but still felt
I was not expecting these kinds of feels.
>>318116985
This always feels bittersweet to me
It feels like a goodbye from the old Sonic we knew
Like he knew he was going to go to shit afterwards
>>318117598
>Adventure
>Pocket Adventure
>Adventure 2
>Advance
>Advance 2
>Arguably Heroes
>Advance 3
>Rush
>Rush Adventure
>Half of Unleashed
>Colors
>Colors DS
>Generations
Le epic post-Genesis Sonic is shit maymay. Also, considering Sonic Team's next game will have had three years of work put into it by the time it comes out, it should be really fucking good.
https://youtu.be/dq9A6IY3KzI
More games should end by showing you the mountains of dead bodies you made and the lives you've ruined.
>>318118291
>Only one of those that is good is Advance 1 and Pocket Adventure and the rest is shit
Fuck off retard
He still went to shit with Adventure
>>318118373
MGS 3 did that. And they would each be special according to how you killed them. If you slit someone's throat then they'd be walking down the section spraying blood and they'll try to talk to you but they cant
>>318118415
Advance 3 and Rush were pretty good and Advance 2 was decent
3D are just mediocre to good (I enjoyed Unleashed, Generations, Colors andSA2 Chao Garden)
>>318118291
>Also, considering Sonic Team's next game will have had three years of work put into it by the time it comes out, it should be really fucking good.
And I thought people had learned by now.
Every single one of these games gave me a feeling of relief and satisfaction at the end and a bit a fear fighting the final boss.
>>318118291
Every 3D sonic is shit, and the 2D ones died with advance, after that they forgot that sonic isn't a racing game
>>318119196
>Tfw venturing all across the world post-game and seeing how everyone's doing now that Giygas' influence has been removed
There's nothing quite like it. And then you can either bring Paula back to her house or to yours and you get to see all the photographs taken throughout your journey.
Earthbound's ending will always be my absolute favorite ending to any game ever.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFq6tYi-Hvg
>>318118415
The Adventure games are good, but flawed, and very fun to play. Advance 2 is one of my favorite games in the series. Heroes is okay. Advance 3 is pretty much the same deal as Advance 1, but with a sidekick mechanic. Rush is like an evolved Advance 2, and it's pretty awesome. Rush Adventure is pretty much the same deal. Colors DS is also pretty much the same deal. The Boost games are very fun.
The ending of TP was pretty sad, it hurts to see the only good character in the game leaving forever
>>318116985
It was a pretty bro-tier ending.
>>318119530
were you scared
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_woaOKRmew
>>318117156
too melodramatic for me.
>>318119761
Nope, wasn't scared per say, but it was certainly a wild ride.
>>318119530
That was my favorite part too, just thinking "Will Ness and Paula be able to handle these enemies by themselves?" and then remembering it doesn't matter because everything is back to normal. After a long journey you can have a simple stroll back to home. The amount of joy was eternal.
>>318119669
seeing her turn into a 12 foot tall mutant was more sad honestly
>>318117156
Aw this one got me good, recently. I was expecting fanfic-tier bullshit, and a lot of the story was, but Zack himself was great. He was such a great happy-go-lucky hero, being serious or foolish whenever it seemed right, and I really felt like the world lost a vibrant soul when he died. Might just be because I'm a huge FF7 fan though.
>>318119761
I found this part way worse than Giygas
Giygas was just sensory overload, while this was the opposite, which is way scarier.
>>318119761
Even though I knew a lot about the game when I made it to the boss fight I was still scared, my heart was literally racing while I was fighting which made the prayer from the player part hit even harder when I realized I actually was concerned for their well being.

>>318120571
You're welcome, anon.
>>318119669
Every ending after Majora's Mask tries too hard to be sad or bittersweet for what ever reason.
>Midna breaks the Mirror of Twilight despite there being no reason that the two couldn't become one again
>Link leaves Hyrule...for no reason
It's not like he was a literal outcast like in Ocarina or anything.
Funny how a true deus ex machina ending turn out to be pretty fitting
>>318120683
The worst one was SS. OH SO NOW I'M SUPPOSED TO FEEL SAD THAT THIS ANNOYING SACK OF SHIT'S GOING AWAY FOREVER BECAUSE SHE JUST DECIDED TO START HAVING SOME EMOTIONS IN THE LAST FIVE MINUTES?
NO.
FUCK YOU GAME.
FUCK YOU.
>>318120683
Pretty much all the 3D Zelda games have sad endings somehow besides Wind Waker.
>>318120683
>>Link leaves Hyrule...for no reason
I don't know what game you're talking about, but link wasn't from hyrule in any of the post-MM 3D games
Red Dead Redemption
Wind Waker
To The Moon
Spec Ops: The Line
Transistor
Fable 2
>>318120968
I think I am the only one that got sad with Fi's last speech, but it's probably because I'm a toasterfucker
>>318121001
Wind Waker's still kinda sadif you sympathized with Ganondorf. He just wanted his world back. He just wanted to see his people and his land again.
>>318120968
Oddly enough I enjoyed Fi's usefulness when it came to figuring out who people were everything else was pointless but just fun to read for the heck of it. I never got sad when she was leaving cause...shes the sword...shes not really gone. Plus it'd be weird to have the same companion in multiple games.
>>318121324
>Falling for his fake tears
Gannondorf was nostalgic about the past because that was the land he wanted to rule, not a giant pool with a few pebbles scattered around
>>318121324
Also, the king dies, and Hyrule will never be seen again
;_;
>>318116985
>>318121560
But Tetra went off to find new land so Hyrule can begin anew, and it seems to have worked pretty well. The king seemed to be content with his fate.
>>318116985
LIMBO's almost did, but unfortunately it didn't stay true to its namesake.
>>318121729
True, but a loss is still a loss. Bittersweet kinda ending, I suppose.
>people literally cry because of games
WABOF (what a bunch of fags)
>>318121818
>uses an acronym that no one knows so has to type out its actual meaning
WDYJWTWTOITFP? (Why didn't you just write the whole thing out in the first place?)
AYSKOFM? (Are you some kind of fucking mongoloid?)
>>318121818
>forcing acronyms
>even ironically
Please please,
Go away!
And never come back
Any day!
>>318121117
>Red Dead Redemption
That ending was such a dick punch, Marston deserved a quiet life after all the shit ross put him through. Left me feeling like a husk.
RDR 2 when?
>>318122239
It won't be called Red Dead Redemption 2, cause RDR is already a sequel to Red Dead Revolver.
Rockstar keeps hinting that it is indeed being made, but we're five years gone and nothin'.
>tfw TES VI and third RD both come out in 2016
That will be a good year if it happens.
>>318122450
The first game(s) count for me too.
Sequel when?
>>318122450
>Riolu
>Chimchar
shit tier choices
>tfw not able to emotionally connect with anything
>>318122697
Why the fuck would a self-contained story need a sequel?
>>318122804
This is a form of autism.
>>318122871
for you
>>318122871
But I'm not autistic, just emotionally dead because of how shit life is
>>318122697
Good game, but a sequel would be overdoing it. I wouldn't mind a similar premise (as in something simply involving the same memory retrieval service), but like another anon said, it's a self-contained game.
Also, I believe it already has a spiritual successor. I cannot remember the name, but it shouldn't be hard to find on Steam. Something to do with birds.
>>318122948
So you're sad that you're autistic?
Why not just kill yourself?
>>318122828
Sequel in terms of the doctors working with a new patient. Should have made myself clear
>>318122948
Then yer some kinda nihilist.
>>318122412
I totally forgot about Red Dead Revolver, what a great game. I would love an announcement for RD in 2016. Would make my year. Maybe at the VGAs?
For me it was the portal series. I had watched let's plays but when I played it myself all the background noise and insults from GLaDos and crashings and music made me feel sorry for a robot. weird
>>318123127
Considering it
>>318123250
We will see... we will see.
The development schedule for RS North is 5 years. RS San Diego would probably be the same, then, but they are also smaller, and Red Dead Redemption was a much bigger game than any of the previous GTA games, so I suppose 6 years is a fair estimate.
>>318123485
I want to fuck GLaDos while she insults me
>>318122594
I tend to be okay but once those songs kick in it's all over.

Had genuine feels when Chell wakes up and she says "Thank god you're okay".
That's probably the part where she's the most human.
>>318123557
I consider it every day, anon. At some point, though, I just accepted the terms of my existence. I am a human living on a dying world. I still enjoy things, though, still am capable of loving things, so what point is there in eliminating myself from the world? If you like vidya, continue to live because of vidya. If you like dogs, continue to live because of dogs. If you like nature, continue to live because of nature.
>>318117156
>Level up nothing but strength because the leveling system is busted as fuck
>Never need magic because everything dies in one hit
>never take damage because enemies attacks are slow as fuck
>Never get hurt by boss AOE attacks because MODULATING PHASE makes me invincible
>Get to last fight
>Literally have to let myself die, completely ruining the moment
Anyone who says this game is good literally has shit taste in vidya.
>The villainatones for their sins and sets everything right
>The sidequests all mattered in the end, going out of your way to do things really did make the world better
>That last choice in the true end made no difference but felt great
I didn't want it to end, but I was glad that it did.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPUy_Im5dss
>>318123848
I've accepted the terms of my existence, hence why I see no point in continuing. I'll never be able to do the things I want, I find no enjoyment in anything and I have no reason to try anything as nothing is ever worth the effort.
Lucas.
Claus.
>>318116985
You younger dudes may know nothing about this but; I put so much effort and time into beating Shinobi 3 on the Genesis when I was younger. Its's such a phenomenal game, one of the last of it's kind. The gameplay and soundtrack are just top notch.
Anyway, the game was pretty tough towards the end and it took me a bunch of sittings over the period of a few weeks to beat this. It was really frustrating and emotionally draining to keep dying on the last levels. And when I finally beat the last boss and the ending and music came on, I just leaned back in my chair and wept because of how gratifying it was to overcome the challenge. Not to mention the music was so sad. Still makes me tear up just hearing because of the emotions attached to it.
