I had nearly all of my paperwork put in to join Army Special Forces (Green Berets). I had done all the training they recommended, I passed the language test,I got the TS clearance. Then one day I was waiting on an appointment and I saw a green beret arguing with a civilian about some function of Microsoft Word that he didn't understand and getting really pissed off, like, incredibly pissed. That's when I decided to get out of the army instead, because evidently Special Forces people are just as dumb as any other part of the army.

I really liked Episode 2. I think it felt the most like HL1 than HL2 or Ep1 did. You always have a partner in HL2 and Ep1. THe first part of the Antlion caves had you going solo for the first time in a long while. It was really nice and I hated when you were reunited with some shitty Vort as a partner and eventually Alyx.

The game's pretty generous with the health/armor, even on hard+ i usually have to restrict my medkit allowance for a challenge. Even then as long as you remember to mass healthkit when shit gets real there's isn't much risk of death outside of 'nades or railguns.

This is one of the central problems of HL2.The combine soldiers feel like cannon fodder.They just seem to stand there and shoot then get shot.

In a HL1 the grunts were a real threat throwing grenades leaving you constantly on edge and they were very mobile running around obstacles making the fights very mobile.

For cannon fodder in HL1 you had vortigaunts,hound-eyes and bullsquids all with diffrent combat strategies to mix up the flow.

They do have a lot more health than the combine, aka more than nothing. But their reactions are no different. Either way it serves the purpose. You can give the combine all the AI you want but if they can't take a shot or two they'll never show it off. Unless you're making a game like stalker.
