This is kinda why I hate Zero; some of it is nice. Characters that don't all die or betray you between games, and there's actually a world that seems to function instead of just a splattering of different stages that seem completely unrelated.
But some of it is played as serious drama while being more insane than Wily escaping an exploding robot and collapsing castle with nothing more than dirty clothes.

X asked you to believe insane shit like "Robot have DNA" and "Computer viruses can be airborne.". That's premise-based pseudoscience and I can live with it. The games brought dead characters back with them saying "I was only pretending to be dead", that allows a persistent cast and I accept it; even if Sigma went overboard.
But
