It is a crane/ufo catcher, so there is skill involved rather than just random luck. They also give you a free plays pretty commonly so you don't need to spend money. However, they tend to put the better prizes in places that are hard or impossible to get in a single try as a way to tempt you to spend money after you fail with your free play. It is actually pretty fun, but I would never pay to win a small picture to display in my home screen.
