Well Totori is the second game in the Arland trilogy.
So while you can start there, it's not really recommended.
If you have a PS3, get Rorona Plus, as it's pretty cheap physically now.
Or just jump into Totori, at most you'll miss out on returning charactesr and you'll get introduced to them for the first time instead of the second.
