EL is great, the price for it is very good.
It's a game that really rewards understanding how to exploit the resources system to the fullest, and quite heavily punishes you for not getting to grips with it.
So try to pay attention to things that affect your resource management.
Factions are almost completely customizable, and knowledge of resources will make or break any custom factions you might want to put together.
The combat is probably one of the best systems I've seen in this type of game.

I wish I could enjoy it the way you do. My earliest FPS games were DOOM 1 and 2 from when I was a kid and I loved those games at the time. But I just can't get into Serious Sam. It's funny and enjoyable, but the novelty wears off fast and all you're left with is a very shallow, very repetitive game. I know I'll get hate for this, but I feelHalo: CEwas the peak of shooters, for me. It wasn't too serious, it wasn't too shallow and it was plenty of fun to play through. You weren't some random soldier and you weren't running around in featureless landscapes killing so many enemies with a single sneeze that they lost all their integrity.

Homeworld Remastered and Cities Skylines are what I'm most interested in. £10 is a little much to drop on either though as I'm unsure how much I'd like them.

Pretty fun, but it's clunky sometimes, especially some of the jumps/platforming. On the higher difficulties you can't fight at all, once an alerted enemy comes in melee range you die, which is cool.

Don't but Styx. I got it for free on PS+ and it's so boring. Dumbed down stealth and fighting mechanics, it also tries platforming a little bit but even that is so uninspired. When platforming is literally jumping up and down on perfect square platforms it screams uninspired
