Stats aren't gonna get wiped. Pic related is finally coming out SOON™. They do take their time with these updates and the ZEDconomy stuff is pretty shit in my opinion, but I still enjoy the game as the gameplay's solid and in regards to the skins, you'll at least get some free drops and I'd just sell the crates (I'm guessing that will be a possibility).

Just play it with a controller then. It's deceptively not a third person shooter. The mechanics are very dependent on stats and shooting will be fucking terrible until you pump points into something. The timed dialogue wheel might seem off putting, but it's one of the few RPGs that actually lets you steer a conversation and your choices have long lasting repercussions. Pistols are god mode and don't go to Moscow first.

I bought it on release and had some pretty heavy buyer's remorse. The humour is awful, the gameplay is repetitive and grindy with recycled maps/enemies everywhere, the difficulty curve is heavily out of whack (sometimes an enemy will swing at you for negligible damage and be an absolute joke to defeat, and then the next enemy in the same area will hit you for 80% damage, take an extra turn, then hit you again). Some gameplay systems are really backwards (CPU characters are so much better than non-CPUs there's no reason to ever use a non-CPU, and there's almost no penalty to being in CPU mode every fight) and if you don't complete all the dungeons in every chapter before you progress the story, you get locked out of other bonus dungeons from that point on.
Pretty much the only thing good about it is the anime titters.
