Started 1 and 8 but lost saves.
I can only say 4 was least enjoyable, mostly when MC changed from based DPS machine to white faggot. There was also almost no way to customise character progress. 1 felt better as simple adventure. Rydia was cute, though.
12 was fantastic in begining, but then it turned out everyone have same licesne board. After making gambits for autoatack and cure/hp potions, it played by itself. Magic seemed useless, especially aoe because he casted/had animation for every enemy, so before you hti them you got hit million times. I heard Zodiac job system is better, but never got around to trying it.
