Besides, Dissidia is a spin-off in the vein on Gundam VS, not a mainline title.

Because it's not playing at 20-24fps, so it doesn't look like the characters are teleporting short distances.
It's moving at the same speed, you can just actually percieve the movement in it's entirety now now, so it -looks- a bit slower. About the only thing that looks slower is the mid-air dash, and that's probably because it's distance is now shorter.
