As much as I like to shit on F4 (and think NV is better still), I thought this aspect of it was pretty damn cool. All of the companions seem to comment on EVERYTHING and it actually makes sense. There's so few "arrow to the knee"-ish lines in this game it's amazing. I took the Mysterious Stranger perk, and after I got Nick Valentine as a companion, I got a proc of Mysterious Stranger and I could actually hear him say "Wait! It's that Mysterious Stranger!" It was really interesting just because in 3 and NV, they never had anything like that. Mysterious Stranger would show up, nobody really gave a fuck.
Honestly, the biggest thing that bothers me about the storyline so far is Diamond City's acceptance of Nick Valentine. While they do say his office is "shady", he's very fucking obviously a synth. I remember one of the guards said something like "You better not be a synth" when I had Nick following me. I listened to more of Nick's story, of how he saved the former mayor's daughter, and was given a home in Diamond city, but barely anyone knows that. Nobody really gives a shit about Nick. They even see that he's a synth right in front of them and they don't care.

You didn't listen well then. After he saved the Mayor's daughter people started coming to him to solve their problems. It was slow at first but over time more and more people came until the down accepted him as the local problem solver.

I'm planning on making a mod that will port over a bunch of weapons from the older entries and add some unique versions of them, here's what I got so far for guns
most of the unique name's are shit, they're a work in progress. The unique versions will have an ability similar to the legendary weapon abilities but not as random, For example. "Nerf This," a unique version of the lever action shotgun, will have increased range and lower pellet spread compared to the normal lever action shotgun. What will probably happen is each weapon will be mod-able, but not as extensive as the base game weapon's modding capabilities and the unique weapons will have mods as well, but their stats will already be better or equal unmodded to the normal version fully modded. (So while you can make the LAS more accurate with a long barrel and stock, "Nerf This," will be more accurate than the fully modded LAS.)
