Performance was crap even on medium settings (I run witcher 3 maxed out) and the game crashed to desktop with a texture load error before I even got to use my weapon. I've always played a fuckton of TDM and I always rank at least top 3 in TDM. I'm able to get a 10 key supply drop every 3-5 games or so.
Here is what I do to get the game running perfect.
-Run in windowed full screen mode
-Make sure your render resolution is set to your monitors resolution
-Set frame limit to the refresh rate of your monitor, 60fps for 60hz, 120fps for 120hz ets etc.
-If you are on 60hz enable Vsync.
-in advanced settings set everything to high using Extra settings seems to cause stuttering and frame dips. There isn't much of a difference between high and extra anyway.
Game runs perfect for me doing all of the above.

The game itself is not good nor is it holding up as well as any of the other CoD games. Advanced Warfare did everything better. The only reason I play it from time to time is so the money isn't a complete waste and this is still the honeymoon period. Original Black Ops had something like 200k players constantly. So yeah it's pretty bad.

So how does the HIVE thing work? Lets say I put a trip mine on one opening, and HIVE on the others, and some trophy systems in the room. All while waiting for my Sentry/Guardian duo. Would this be a solid set up to bunker down in a room. Probably with a sniper but more likely than not my Gorgon with rapid fire. I just don't like how everyone suddenly forgot how to play Dom, and everyone is always going for all 3 flags so the spawns flip too often. I don't look at as camping, but more as holding down a position for the benefit of the team.

HIVE is essentially just a mine gun. Plop down a few, spread them out well, add some trophies, and you're pretty much untouchable. Enemies can trigger the HIVE mines and still walk around a bit though, it takes at least a second for the bugs to eat the legs off a guy.
