I don't agree with this. The "point" of the game is that it's a huge social gathering of people making their own mario levels for people to play through. I enjoy Mario Maker for playing people's levels, not for making them. I suck at making them. Just because there's no story, doesn't mean it's any less legitimate.
Let me put it this way. If you go through 100 different varying levels in a regular Mario game, why is that more relevant or more "legit" than going through 100 community created levels with no story to connect them? It's still gameplay correct? You're still presented with a challenge correct? How does that make it any less of a "game?"
Source Film Maker doesn't have levels players can complete. It's just a creation tool. Mario Maker has creation tools, yes, but what you create are playable game levels that have to be played within that game itself. So, no, you're absolutely 100% wrong on this.

These lists are very upsetting. As far as best OST is concerned, wouldn't Final Fantasy Type 0 HD and Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 be worth considering? Undertale and Splatoon also deserve spots there.
And due to the timing of this, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon aren't even being given a chance, and they could be well fitting for a lot of these. I fully expect Xenoblade Chronicles X especially to top the charts, and the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games almost always have excellent storylines. Challenging, too!
Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Dungeon Travelers 2 are deserving of some love as well. Revelations 2 is very much comparable to RE4 in its quality, and while I haven't played it, I hear Dungeon Travelers 2 is a genuinely quality dungeon crawler, with a lot in common with Etrian Odyssey. And wouldn't Undertale be well worth considering as a legitimate GOTY? And why Mario Maker? Does it really count as a full fledged video game? Its more like a game making program with Mario assets.

None of the games introduce anything new. As for exceptional, I strongly disagree, and I don't even think the humor was good in the game. I think all the quality in the game goes to the characters, music, and combat system. Shit was like playing SMT fused with Touhou, but easier and without any bullshit RNG. Yeah they were decent. Couldn't complain. Music was fine too. The combat system was a little too easy in my opinion (especially in the pacifist run) but it wasn't bad by any means.

The only enemies that gave me trouble were Undyne and Sans on the genocide route, mainly because I didn't use health items appropriately. Even still every just came down to memorization since they repeat most of their moves.

That said, now I'm kind of curious. What RNG was involved in the combat system? When i said that, I was thinking of how when you negotiate with demons in SMT the same demons could have the same choices in dialogue have different outcomes each time you run into them. I didn't see any of that in Undertale, so I'm not sure what you mean by RNG.

This kills the sans fight for me especially. I like most of the fights in the game. I'm pretty bad at video games so even shit like Muffet's fight had me dying a few times. But when a fight is exactly the same with the same order of attacks throughout a fight, it gets boring fast. Everyone overblows the sans fight, and I always try to say that Undyne's is better because her attacks are somewhat based on your location on the battlefield, while with sans nothing you do has influence. Plus with the sans fight its all on memorization, and isn't based on reflexes. In all other fights in the game, you could win the first time you fight since the game gave you time to see an attack coming, but with sans it was basically "learn the order of his moves and how to avoid them".
