They should have made Vegeta the strongest dbz in the end of the series, the whole show had this continuing theme of overcoming strong enemies through training and becoming stronger, and yet Goku just beats everyone despite Vegeta constantly training to surpass Goku. They really missed out on some real character development of Vegeta giving up his vanity and overconfidence and becoming the strongest. He fucking earnt it.
