Its easy to explain because if you played BD then you know he's the only one from a different timeline, and at the end of BD it was implied he got to go back and save the party from his.The sad thing is Bravely Default's ending implies there's something to be found out about Tiz when in Bravely Second that would push the story, but he just pops up in the start and no one questions it.
