Still am. It's definitely one of the better games of the year. I can already hear anons breathing down my neck muttering "MEME GAME". I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting this game to be the huge hit it was. When I first saw a trailer for it ages ago, I was excited for it, but a lot of folks around were like "literally what?" and "it's not going to catch on".

It's my game of the year desu. I've hardly touched mgsv because I'm playing RL and the witcher bored me. It has no gameplay altering dlc and plenty of free updates.

It's rookie difficulty. i just wanted to see how much I can score. rookie AI doesn't use boosts so you can just get to the ball first and hit it towards the goal.The first ball hit the opponent and bounced back right into my goal
I play with keyboard and mouse. Got 50 hours in the game, just starting to play on a noticeably higher level, but I realize there is a degree of precision in the analog stick that the keyboard cant compare to.
So I tried it on my brothers PS4 and it was like flipping a guitar around to play it left handed. Worse than back to scratch. Never owned a console, I cant fucking use a controller. So I guess I'll never be precise in this game.

Had ambitions of being a top player, kinda stopped playing for a while so lost all momentum. Still good, but nowhere near the MLG shit.
Having friends who dropped the game after 10 hours didn't help either.
This is the first game in a long while that has me jumping in my seat, raging, fist pumping, and hating myself.
2v2 with a m8 is so rewarding when you get some good teamplay going
Here's my experience after 200 hours

its tense as fuck, but I dont think it really works as a game mode when it almost exclusively rewards extremely boring, patient, defensive players. The more aggressive player will get scored on if the opponent is skilled enough to capitalize on mistakes just once. When both players are decent it just makes for really boring games.
Comparing top level 1v1 to 2v2 to consider which mode is the more entertaining watch, theres just no question about it

Yes, 20 is a reasonable price.
Matchmaking works surprisingly well, at least in 3v3 and 1v1. In 2v2 it's not very even from my experience. In unranked games you get mached based on your playtime, in ranked there's a rating system in place.
Really the best part of the game is that it's just honest. 20 bucks for a good video game. No catch, no grind, nothing to encourage the player to play every day.
