Build a new PC for 1k. Which OS should I install? Win7 or Botnet?
Is Win10 worth it for performance?
Botnet aside, Windows 8 onward doesn't let you disable desktop composition so you have to deal with forced vsync on all windowed games. This is a major annoyance to me.

Sorry for the flash. Ben Navis is too shiny

Looks like Corsair Obsidian case, which type?
Crazy how you almost need a full-sized case for these new GPU.

Its a Nanoxia Deep Silence 3

W7.
No botnet, no horrible UI, and everything works.
The claims about "superior performance" on 10 are exaggerated bullshit.

Win 7 and close all the possible backdoors. The performance increase is negligible, especially if you use ssd's. You know someone is desperate when the only clear advantage they can point their finger at is "f-faster boot times!"

>No botnet
good one m8
8.1
Superior performance over 7 as well as smaller install size and lower idle resource usage.
Then install Everything for your HDDs ONLY.
Either 8.1 or the new Windows 10 build that came out a few days ago. If you're so paranoid get the enterprise version (Microsoft say that telemetry can now be fully disabled) and KMS activate it.
If you're gonna spend a lot of money use the OS that gives the best performance. Windows 7 isn't it.

Windows is a botnet since every Windows NT Version.

Even if you pick Win7 you either have to leave it totally untouched by automatic updates or go through files and restrict specific ones and never update again after that.
There's really no way to win.
