Why do people assume that if you own more than one console or a console and a pc that you are rich? You don't have to buy it all at one time. I have a Wii U, N3DS, Vita 1000, PS4, and a mid tier pc. Sales and discounts exist and I didn't buy all of this in one year. Why limit yourself to one console or just a PC per gen? Just know the ones you want and work towards it.

The Wii U is the best console of the gen because it has the most and best games. It used to be the winner of the gen just by being the "least shitty" but now it actually has enough games that I'd consider it a good console.
Xbox One has no games and nobody even cares to defend it; everybody knows it's a console for stupid people who don't think about their purchases. PS4 has one game, Bloodborne, which is actually worse than having 0 games. When a console has one notable exclusive, that just makes that one game cost the price of the game, PLUS the price of the console, as the console is required to play it.
tl;dr - Wii U is good and has a lot of fun games, Xbox One has no games, PS4's only feat is making Bloodborne cost $460 instead of $20 or something had it just been released on Steam like a normal game.

There isn't much I'd want to import, really. Everything I want is confirmed for the west or likely to come over anyway.
I considered importing The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival, but I was buying Disgaea 5, Tales of Zestiria and Fallout 4 too close to justify it on top of those, so I'm waiting for the western release next year. Same for Gravity Rush Remastered.

Thats an over exaggeration also there is nothing wrong with an older console getting games. But the issue lies nowadays when games have literally double the devtime needed and seeing nintendo struggle with HD 4 years is not really fair or something that should be encouraged. They haven't even taken advantage of the hardware I don't think any game has besides xenoblade X. With what nintendo so far have released you wouldn't think the console is more powerful than the last gen ones besides the wii.

It has about 10-12 arguably really great games across all genres that is not a lot. Especially for a console that was out for 3 years. Its nothing like the dreamcast which had such a solid library filled with gems and original IPs with fresh gameplay.

The first game is the ideal starting point since as the series progresses you can experience how the games improve with each relase although unless you can emulate or find a copy of it I'd say to play 4 since that has a feature where you can see the events of the previous games

It seems to be rather divisive. I'm a fan of survival horror and especially Fatal Frame so I dig it, in particular using the gamepad as the camera obscura. That said, I do think it has some pacing issues and the content is stretched a bit needlessly thin for it. Some people don't like the clunky controls and linear story/progression but some of that comes down to holdovers from the genre's nature. Objectively I'd say it's about a 7-ish out of 10 game but being a fan I like it much more than that.

You know what the biggest problem is with the WiiU, the games are so fucking expensive. Nintendo will not drop the price of their games over time, meanwhile you can get that whole stack of ps4 games for the price of Mario Kart 8.
The only worthwile game in the Wii U pile is Bayonetta 2. Call me again when Wii U has 2015 tier games.
