No, it's that professional touch-ups are often better than inconsistent fan mods that don't have the resources to cover smaller-scale textures. Even if the parts that the fan mod touches end up looking more technically impressive, it is overall a worse awkwardly mixed series of new textures almost all the time.
I have yet to see convincing screenshots that say this will be any different.
