The game has a lot of shit going on with the animations in general.
Even the loading times are tied to framerate. With the framerate unlocked, I measured about 15 seconds of loading time. With the framerate lock in place, the loading took almost 30 seconds.
And I it's pretty much impossible to play the game when the framerate is unlocked, because all the menus and lockpicking especially just happens too fast, the bobby pin breaks before you have time to react.

That always gets to me. That's why I just stick to guns, bows, or magic in their games. Everything else feels like shit.

Strangely, despite its praise, I felt like I was punching pillows in Bam A Ham Yum. Only the first one, but it didn't capture me because I just finished Sleeping Dogs at the time, and the combat felt so damn powerful in that game.

I've built a bed and some containers in the Dog Penis gas station that's my crafting base.

Beyond that the shitty Sanctuary Hills tutorial quest completely turned me off the whole settlement mechanic. I built some shit (which usually hoevers 2 feet over the ground) whenever Stiffs McBland gave me a quest to do so, but that's it.

I always knew the animations and impacts felt shit, but the thing I'm always in disbelief over is the way the game doesn't seem to allow you to change the outcome of the fight in the slightest.
I've been thinking I've been missing something, but in every bethesda game it's the same shit, just walk up to the opponent and start trading those blows. It's like it has zero business being a realtime game, at least when it comes to fighting melee enemies.

I don't think so. I'm playing on very hard, I'm level 47 now and my assault rifle rips deathclaws apart in about 7 shots. Just like every beth game, it only gets easier and easier.

This so much. Dark Messiah's Combat was so fucking good, and it's not like there's any reason for the combat to look and feel like glorified runescape, there are MMOS out today that have better realtime combat than Skyrim, which is completely offline.

People are talking about all the animations being tied to framerate. When I'm near the busier parts of the city and drop lower, literally no difference.
Lockpicking feels exactly the same as previous Gamebryo versions. I've put at least a couple hundred hours in each one.
