Fallout 4 is probably clusterfuck with stats, so tell me if this will be fine or will I be handicaped to eternity and beyond.

The only things that matter with stats is what perks you can take. So check out the perk list, find the ones you like then stat accordingly.

u wear power armor all game, just put points into strength and go melee weapons
then u can go into charisma and level it really fast or just get a outfit at the beginning of the game that gives +3 charisma and be set when not wearing power armor
the only other stat worthwhile is science and then perception each for levleing up lockpicking and hacking because everything requires the two
charisma is very iffy and doesnt net u too much extra cash when doing jobs
it does help ocassionaly with missions so just level it up when u dont have other perks u want
tl;dr- u can level up special stats each level instead of investing in perks

This is literally my character, the Knife Stabber From Boston. I just run around with my Serrated Switchblade stabbing people in the face (sometimes through power armor if I have to), critting left and right, getting help from mysterious stranger if something survives all my hits.
The most annoying thing is that there is no "stupid" dialogue. I made a character with 1 int for that reason, and the dialogue doesn't change at all. The only thing there is connected to int are dialogue choices for when you have high int, or high charisma, but my friend tells me you don't get those too often either. It annoys me to no end.
