Well considering what a dissapointment MGSV was, Im fine with it now. Every series has to die an ugly death it seems. I cant quickly remember from the top of my mind a series of games that went out with style, with grace and with a good game in general.
MGSV was good gameplay wise despite the pseudo open (empty) world being a mistake. The story, voice actor casting and characters were the biggest mistake. Atleast hayter would have said more than 2 lines trough the whole fucking game.

MGSV had a passable story that was just presented in the worst way possible (being an unfinished mess), the biggest sin was the gameplay where the best part are the fucking controls.
Its like he forgot his entire history as a game dev, took notes from Rockstar and Ubisoft, then said thats how fucking MGS should be.

The overall story was a mess, definitely poorly handled and so many things left completely open. I just personally think that the characters carry a story and no story is good if the characters carrying it arent doing anything. Snake was just quiet all the time, didnt react to anything, barely any talking cutscenes which I really enjoyed from previous games. Seeing people interact with eachother, react to things ect.
I also wish that they would have just given a linear story with big mission areas that were well designed down to every detail.
One thing about the gameplay did piss me off though, if I didnt manage to sneak some part (somehow the actual sneak controls were really clunky considering everything else) I could just pull out my guns, shoot everyone and walk out with little to no resistance. The regenerating health is probably the main reason why the some of the gameplay stuff fell apart.
