Ugh, Smash is such a terrible game. I don't know how so many people have been brainwashed into thinking it's fun.
I don't use these guys as muh anymore (except Mac) but they are still my most solid characters.

I've only ever seen ONE robin player I respect. every person I know that plays the character always runs or spams like if I touch them the game is over instantly. they get their shit wrecked because none of them know how to get out of a combo or get back to neutral.

I agree with them. Pika is hella good at killing Luma. Half his moveset is safe and sends him into Tumble, he also combos him really well.

Get good. You're complaining about how scrubs play Robin when they'd play the same way with any other projectile loaded character. Robin's a zoning character, of course she's going to use projectiles. But patches mean she can get a shitton of damage of grabs, and Levin has always been great for closer combat.
What do you main? Just shield the damn projectiles if that's what bugs you.

I love using ROB. Only issues I have are that most of his aerials are slow enough to come out so you can't break out of wombos (like Mario and Yoshi can with nair) and that his Up B is stupid-easy to gimp.
I hate recovering with him. I prefer to stay on the ground, though taking potshots with that wonderful uair is only natural.

Is hard defined by pressing buttons? There's no way it takes longer than 6 months to competently and consistently perform any technique in melee (that's being generous assuming you're dedicating time every few days to solo grinding). Falco is more difficult than sheik/Marth by that definition but is the easiest high tier to play by far when your execution is decent

I don't disagree, it can help to play around with low tiers to understand their objectives in a match up but I would say that matchup knowledge is available to those willing to acquire it even in the absence of matchup experience. A sheik might lose to a DK because of DKs ridiculous punish game on sheik thanks to cargo throw follow ups, if the sheik keeps going for dash attacks in neutral which can be crouch canceled to pretty high percents, but the sheik should be aware of those things and change their playstyle accordingly. I think that it's not worth it to dedicate as much time to low tier match ups when the reason a character is low tier is because their options are so limited and they're game plan is easy to work around. Using Yoshi as an example of a low tier that beats high level players solely due to lack of MU experience isn't apt imo. shield dropping + djc aerials give Yoshi amazing tools on platforms, better than anyone in the cast. He's a legit good character I think the next few years will show that

He's talking out of his ass, notable set losses this year where a good (not great) player has lost to a low tier are pretty much the moon vs saus (Marth v link) and overtriforce vs iori(sheik vs DK). generally most low tier players don't make it out of pools or early bracket.
Yoshi, Luigi and Ganon are mid tier, and represented by some extremely talented players
