I do but not nearly as much as I used to. I played Guilty Gear competitively but was never all that good. I went to a major earlier this year and remembered why I hate the FGC so much. It's gotten even worse in recent years. Now there's trannies and furries everywhere. The most active people in my local scene are also pieces of shit that devolved into tumblr kiddies so I avoid playing with them now. I might go to another major next year if I have the cash to spare and there's some Japanese players coming. It'd be nice to speak with some of them.

Just know that you're never too old to get into the genre. Contrary to popular myths, you can still maintain fast thinking and reflexes even as you get much older. It's just something you have to train and maintain.
If you ever feel like getting into a fighting game, do try to see if there's a local group that plays offline. I'm sure they'd love to welcome you regardless of how old you are.

I come from old school strategy and FPS tourney play and I never felt like the people were that obnoxious, there's a high degree of sportsmanship that comes before pride and ego.
