In PN03 the enemies are better at fighting as you ramp up the difficulty. Some enemies get new attacks that force you to drastically change position and run around the stage instead of just side-stepping everything like you're used to. Enemies become deadly accurate and the lock on for missile attacks is much better so if you don't dodge at the absolute last second you're going to get hit. One guy gets a transformation into a totally new enemy and the boss fight gets more stages with new attacks.
But it also makes every enemy a crazy bullet sponge. If you start the game on hard with the default armor, without the ability to continuously shoot just by holding down the button, you're going to end up with some kind of carpal tunnel.

Get lucky and find a version of the weapon you want which already has a suppressor (merchant or loot).
You could then switch to 'No Muzzle' and ditch the weapon, but it's likely that if you find a suppressed gun that its other components are good too. Probably better than yours if you're getting by without the crafting perks.
Fully modded plasma rifle with a sniper barrel and recoil compensating stock is overpowered as hell. It does as much damage as a power weapon, but it is semi-auto and fires very fast. Not even the savage deathclaw in the witch museum was a match, I just downed some jet and unloaded 2 clips into the thing.

Is that 2 steel for building something? or just a pair of scissors needed for a certain weapon upgrade, or do I have to actually salvage it somehow to get that 2 steel?
Also, if I put it in storage, and need that pair of scissors, do I have to go remove it from storage to use it or does the game recognize that I have it contained outside of my inventory?

i believe the way it works is that when you dump junk in your workshop bench its treated like whatever it breaks down to when you're crafting.

You can't scrap shit (unless you are in building mode), and the scissors or w/e don't matter, only their materials count so you can leave your junk and use it as prime material

Vault 81 is directly to the left of diamond city when you look on the map. It's fully populated by people still living in it and got a pretty good quest about its background and the vault tec experiment
