>Tons of them are Marysues, community is filled with self-inserts and fanwank
>Get to pic related, literally sounds like something "That Kid" makes up on the playground, NUH UH YOU CAN'T KILL HIM BECAUSE HE HAS A MAGIC IMMORTALITY IMMUNITY SHIELD

Should I even bother with the video games? Are they any good?
>>
Yeah they're good if you're into horror stuff.

Shame the community went to shit.
>>
>>315847664
Containment Breach is alright if you just want something to do. The one with the stairs is pretty good, although pretty short.

I want a game where you can play as the little rolling eye SCPs. You don't do anything except explore the facility, watch as people regularly die to ridiculous shit, and just chill out with the guards.
>>
>Tons of them are Marysues, community is filled with self-inserts and fanwank
Most SPCs are objects or not even close to being human.
>Get to pic related, literally sounds like something "That Kid" makes up on the playground, NUH UH YOU CAN'T KILL HIM BECAUSE HE HAS A MAGIC IMMORTALITY IMMUNITY SHIELD
They made it so that nobody else would make something like that.
>>
>>315847664
682 is pretty funny though. They keep throwing all these ridiculously dangerous toys at him and they don't work and it ends up killing a bunch of their chump-level employees as a result
>>
Eh... actually, the newer SCPs have been decent.
>>
I really like how the character you play as in Containment Breach became an scp.

IMO the community is better nowadays. Since the interest in it died down a lot of the mary sue creations and fanfics have been dropped. I think they implemented some review process for new SCP's as well.

SCP-087 is one of the few games where walking simulator is completely appropriate

Containment Breach has a shitload of really frustrating deaths, but is a decent game if you like Spookemups.

Also, I love how they've stuck to their guns on trying to maintain that a picture of a decomposing cow with its head propped up by a plank is actually a crocodile monster that escaped the facility and is regenerating from acid immersion, something they stopped to snap a picture of despite the thing apparently killing everything in sight.
>>
Is there a character that could even possibly EVEN TOUCH SCP-682? Let alone defeat him. And I’m not talking about REDACTED SCP-682. I’m not talking about REDACTED SCP-682 either. Hell, I’m not even talking about REDACTED SCP-682 with the REDACTED ( REDACTED ), equipped with his REDACTED, a perfect REDACTED , control of the REDACTED, with REDACTED DNA implanted in him so he has REDACTED and can perform REDACTED while being an expert in REDACTED. I'm talking about [DATA EXPUNGED].

>>
>>315849865
They hang around as buddies, since they are both perfect beings. 682 wouldn't find perfection disgusting.

Now ask what happens in a 682 vs GER situation.
>>
SCP stories are fan fiction writen by mostly teenagers I would wager. I don't really blame the quality, it takes a lot of talent to write good horror.

I try to recommend in SCP threads for any kids who may be interested, to watch Hitchcock or read King instead of creepypastas or /r/nosleep.

Kars can turn into any animal, right?

Couldn't he just turn into 682 to figure out how it works, and from there devise a means of defeating it?

> SCP-666½-J is a crab-stuffed mushroom entrée produced by the internal Foundation catering service Containment Cuisine for the 45th annual Site-19 Foundation Formal. Roughly 42% of the 1,500 attendees consumed SCP-666½-J and were subsequently affected by its anomalous properties. SCP-666½-J's effects started to become apparent approximately one hour after the conclusion of the main course, at which time event goers began to complain of slight abdominal pain.

Nah because its fanfiction for faggots and edgy kids with nothing better to do. You said so yourself that its the sort of shit "that kid" would think up because hes a friendless loser that spends too much time in his own head. If you want real good shit got for things that have a bit more tangible truth despite being complete horseshit like old religious tales, folk lore and local urban myths. More fulfilling then some tripe that a faggot spewed up in his down time.

What was that really long one that involved some kind of hub dimension? There were a bunch of explorations done, one time they ended up in some kind of rural area, another in the middle of a city. It looked like it had been raptured IIRC and there was no one around. There was some kind of creatures walking around though, like really tall with spindly legs and I think they had goop dripping off them. It's in the first 1000 and is seriously like 15-20 full pages long.

The SCP is a reptile but the actual image is of a dead whale of some kind. It's funny how different their skeletons look from the flesh-and-blood beasts.
>>
>>315855273

That's because cross-referencing is discouraged, and basically only happens in the earliest entries before the community collectively started frowning on the practice.

Nobody ever seems to enjoy or even remember my favorite. I don't remember the object itself but it had a lot of backstory/worldbuilding of some alternate-earth where giant things roamed around abandoned 80s/90s era cities where different people accessed different parts of the world that were tinted a color based on emotions/personality/something. It's been years since i read it.

>Corollary: Humorous Addenda Are Out of Style

Often referred to as "LolFoundation", this refers to addenda that fall into any of the following patterns:

The next person who misuses this item for personal gain will be punished.
The next person who plays a prank using this item will be punished.
The next person who disobeys orders or violates security with regards to this item will be punished.
Any mention of being "demoted to Class D".
Any mention of being terminated for minor infractions.

These kinds of addenda went out of style years ago, as they imply that the Foundation is full of idiots or pranksters who are willing to threaten the safety of all humanity by abusing items with potentially existence-threatening anomalous properties. This is no longer done, and older articles that still have them are slowly being edited or phased out.

>This is no longer done, and older articles that still have them are slowly being edited or phased out.
Are these fuckers serious? Those were some of the best parts.

It doesn't only have Little Caesar's brand pizza. It will specifically match the users' pizza taste preference, and that could make it a home-made pizza, or a different fast-food chain pizza. It's any pizza that you fucking love, the box is just there to hold it.

Yes, I don't like that they chose to get rid of, or bury LOLFOUNDATION myself. Those things took place and you should just take it in stride instead of trying to hide it. And I especially loved the over the top mary sue/gary stu humanoid SCP decommission articles. No matter how hard you clean the place up someone will still not be satisfied. And I don't like the "scp canon" they are trying to establish either as well as the shit with alternate realities and trying to include all the shit they have on the site into some sort of a branching plotline.
