1 was just a rehash of things that happened in the books, and 3 has some serious narrative problems thanks in part to its open world.

You do realize group style takes health by the percentage on crits or with the special attack, I can't remember. Enemy health or getting swarmed isn't an issue. Literally all you have to do to win is upgrade it and use swords/potions that increase your specials landing with combos.
It's not like the main draw of the game was combat either.

Nowhere near the level of bullshit DLC games like ME2 had.
The original two games only come as an Enhanced Editions and the DLC itself doesn't get in the way of the experience. Witcher 3 is a fresh game and already has an expansion pack plus a bunch of free quests and cosmetic shit like haircuts/new outfits for primary characters.
