I can't comment on the PC version at release, senpai. I bought the GOTY edition in the 360 a year later and thought it was fantastic. Wasn't a big fan of New Vegas though, don't really understand the love it gets on here. It was alright but it felt too empty and there was just something about it which felt tpvery off-putting.
I'm not hyped but I'm keeping my eye on it only to see if mods can improve the experience in 1/2 years. They turned New Vegas from a mediocre experience to a pretty good one so I hope the same can be done here.

After seeing what they've done to the dialogue I'm not sure what the hell to think. What pisses me off more than anything is that Bethesda refused to substantially update the engine with Fallout 4. Their engine has been proven to be shit in F3, NV, Skyrim...yet they STILL keep using it.
They can't keep getting away utilizing an engine that results in a sub-par gaming experience. They updated the visuals somewhat...I guess...but the visuals were never the problem, even if they are mediocre. The problem is that the AI is shit and the movement is ass.
When I saw the leak where the streamer was floating down a 180 degree cliff just by jumping on a few rocks on the way, I knew they had done nothing. Same with the running in the E3 trailer, even though they tried to mask it by zooming the 3rd person perspective right in.
Gamers really need to be more sensitive to quality. Remember that as the paying public we have the power over the developers and publishers, not the other way around. Bethesda haven't addressed the issues, so they aren't getting my money. See how long the normies keep buying their games with the recession hits.

I think the lighting in general is subpar but in this screenshot it's particularly shit because the pipboy light is on. player cast light in bethesda games never casts shadows because it makes the engine shit itself. Believe me, I've tried to mod them to work properly in the last Fallouts and Skyrim and you get some pretty interestingly retarded effects.
I guess what I'm saying is that this is a particularly bad example of lighting and it would probably look a bit better with the pipboy light off. However, the fact that bethesda still can't get PC light sources to work properly is just another thing that blows my mind so whatever, fuck em.

The world looks nice and interesting with lots of varied environments. The weapon crafting and modifications seem like a nice idea. The gunplay looks like it might actually be fun now. Personally I think the game looks good from a graphical standpoint, and certainly leaps and bounds ahead of Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
