So far my GOTY is Age of Decadence, but even that (despite being good) is just retreading 90s CRPG shit with a neat setting, not really that game changing.

The combat, level and game design were all flawless.

I recently started playing Tales of Majeyal, I don't know when it was released but I've had the most fun running characters through it this year so that's my pick.
I was hoping dungeon defenders 2 would be more feature complete as it was recently publically released too but it's lacking a lot of what made the original one of my favourite games, maybe next year that'll be it.

Witcher 3 so far, by far the best incorporation of an open world in any game
For what it was undertale is REALLY good but I think the amount of good content in w3 just outweighs it. Moment for moment though undertale is probably the most 'dense' game I've ever played. Really strong throughout
Divinity EE is really good as well but seeing as it's a reboot I wouldn't put it above either of the others
Mgsv was a good experience for a while but it drops off way too hard to be compared to these games. W3's combat may have been mediocre, which was a product of it being too easy imo because just the first fight of the expansion is a huge improvement, atleast it was there; mgsv's story and pacing was so trashily thrown together it's pretty embarrassing
