my old computer had a problem where essentially the cpu fan would flat out stop spinning if room temperature was low enough. for example, if its winter and its cold outside, and i open the window to let some air in, the fan would just stop, and the computer would do the
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
continuously until the fan started working again. so what i had to do, for several years, whenever i turned the computer on, or opened the window, was to start spinning the fan manually with my fingers until it decides to start working. got my fingers hit like a hundred times by that faulty piece of shit.

thats the pc's internal heater. it has to keep it from getting too cold.
people don't really know this but pcs have to work harder to heat themselves than to cool themselves, thus the loud whirring.

Consoles have problems that the manufacturers do not address. Just like PC's they get filled with dust. The heatsink and fans get a lot of dust in them over time causing over heating problems. Instead of being easy to open the console for cleaning purposes they make it hard as fuck so modders can't easily access the internals. Pretty much just fucking over everyone.

They're made of thousands of individual components, each needs to be in working order, or the chain breaks and the machine fails. Even if everything works okay to begin with, time and excess heat puts stress on the components until something fails. Keeping your air vents clear and removing the layer of dust that builds up between the heaksink and fan will go a certain way in reducing this stress, but nothing lasts forever.

Free up some space on your hard drive and then defrag.

My SSD is not fixated inside my computer, it actually just kinda lies around with a cable stuck between case and the inner structure so it doesn't have wiggle room

I actually had this happen to my old PC before.

I finally took the PSU out and noticed that over the years of it almost always being on, the fans just couldnt keep up with the temperature and the fan blades start to melt a bit and warped the blades to the point where the fan was off balance and sometimes striking the base.

You'd be surprised how hot those PSUs can get when you have a few hundred watts of power running through them.

When I got my new PC, first thing I did was install some Noctua fans in it and make sure all the wires were away from the main board.
>>
>>315386654
Nah that's fine as long as you don't move the case much. It's pretty much just a flash drive plugged in to your motherboard.

If it ever turns off, it takes between twenty-forty minutes to boot up again because it keeps boot-cycling for some reason. I've been told it was a HDD issue, a memory issue, a temperature issue etc. and everything I've replaced didn't fix it.

Now it just stays on all the time, it's not like I'm suddenly not going to use it one day or anything.
