what are the essential vidya novels?
Roadside Picnic
Southern Comfort and Northern Passage are great. Awesome storyline, unique setting and factions and interesting characters.
There is also a shitload of 40k books. They aren't literary gems by any means, but you read them for 40k, not for writing style.

Have you read anything 40k by Dam Abnett or Aaron Dembski Bowden? They know how to write. On the other hand there's mongoloids like cs goto
StarCraft: The Dark Templar Saga

Abnett and Zou are my favorites. I'm not saying 40k books are badly written, but I'm sure they aren't that great compared to other SCI FI bestsellers. Take Dead Men Walking for instance. It's a great book, but only because it's 40k. If it was in a unique setting, it'd be pretty bad I think. But so far, the only books that I actually didn't like were Last Chancers and Ice Guard. And fuck ABD, he sucks too much Chaos cock while having special snowflake characters and slight daddy issues.Except for Argel Tal, he is the best character ever

Flynn Taggert fuckwits need to fuck off.
If Doomguy has a name at all it would be Buddy Dacote.

The MGS1/2 Novels for sure.
>Snake spitting out terrible one-liners
>Surprisingly accurate descriptions of enemy layouts
>Snake choking out every single guard in the game
>In the MGS2 novel Raiden "enters hanging mode"
Is that Crysis 2 novel by Peter Watts any good?

Raiden entered hanging mode. He began to simaltaneously use his left and right shoulders to lift himself up and down, improving his stamina.
