Witcher 3 by a mile. This year has kind of sucked for video games and the only thing remotely interesting on the horizon before 2016 is Xenoblade.

HomeworldRemastered. I know it's old as shit, but it's the best game I've played thus far this year, and I've never played it before.

Yeah, but I'm kinda' getting the feeling that Homeworld was always a good game, you know? Even if the graphics were toned down the lack of keybindings in original (this last one was literally the only reason I played the remaster first), the story and the atmosphere of the game probably saved it. At least for me.

Looks to be better than the average EDF game, and with the power of bruteforcing, is one of the smoother running EDF games.
Granted it is just an upgraded PS3 game running on a PS4 so I would hope the fps isn't as shit.

I'm a bookfag though and though I realise that it has clear flaws and isn't objectively amazing in any way, it gave me loads of feels and was just such a great experience.

This sort of faded for me once I realized Ciri was literally Sleeping Beauty, and all the real action happens off-camera or in god awful flashback sequences.
The game is about Ciri, you may as well have played as Ciri. Although I guess it would have detracted from the title. Maybe the story should have just been different alltogether.
That and the fact that there is so much filler content, and yet the entire final act is rushed and shallow.
On top of that, the only ending I likedCiri's Deathwas the most rushed aspect.
