Start out as a black guy in da hood and end up rich. The difference is two white guys got thrown into the mix. I don't remember anyone complaining about having to play as Franklin. I preferred to play as him because the slow motion let me keep my speed while making tighter turns. The damage and slow motion shooting weren't as fun imo. The game was already easy.

Maybe not from a gameplay perspective since he has the most useful ability out of the three, but from a story perspective, he's the third mis-shaped wheel that constantly throws the whole Michael/Trevor dynamic out of alignment. It would be half as bad if his arc had a little more emphasis placed on his rise to success and his relationship to his family, but nope. They literally devote maybe two minutes of story and a text message to that when we get another bitchfest from Michael or antics from Trevor. He's effectively a flat, pointless, character made to appeal to those hoping GTAV would be a worthy successor to SA.
