Funny enough , I would be for an age separation board. 25 over and under board. It would be good for the over board to have none shitposting threads and serious discussions while under 25 can enjoy the shitposting and CoD and whatever the flavor of the month game they are playing
It's too late. The genie is out of the bottle. /v/ spent too long with no moderation and it allowed a bunch of new users to come in and think that offftopic shit/bait threads are the norm. They now spam that shit thinking it's "board culture".
The only way to combat that is with 24/7 moderation which all the new users will rally against because it goes against their perceived "spirit of /v/" where they can do whatever the fuck they want.

First of all, that's not true and you know it.
Second, if that is truly a problem then what makes you think splitting it into multiple boards based on console or country of origin would fix it? If anything the fix for that would be to loosen the rules of /vr/ to make it anything from pre-seventh gen (not that I necessarily think that's the right idea, but still.)
And thirdly it isn't as if other boards, namely /a/, aren't just as guilty of this issue if anything.
