Story is pretty good and has a bunch of twists (one of them is kind of obvious but is executed correctly).
Basic outline of the story is that you become part of a special platoon that needs to find all of the song maidens and gather them to the royal city as Hilda is going around trying to crystallize everything and kill said song maidens. There is a bunch of stuff going on in the background and the first half is dedicated to why Hilda is doing what she does.
