I lost my Gmail because my phone contract ended and Google wouldn't reply to my 'account retrieval' emails.
It was my own fault for having only one way of retrieving my account, but If GOOGLE can't reply to a simple email, we have no chance that Valve will be any better.

What happened was I signed up for a 2 year contract, which was terrible and then at the end of those 2 years I cancelled it so they would stop taking £35 a month.
Usually what happens is they just stop payments and the sim card can still receive but not make calls, unfortunately Vodaphone think they are too big for their britches and deactivated the Sim card, so I couldn't receive any calls or texts.
