This game honestly intimidates me.
I just beat a neutral route where Papyrus became king by process of elimination.
I've been looking up what it takes to get the other two endings, and realized there are also multiple neutral endings.
I'd have to get another neutral ending - the pre-pacifist ending - just to be able to play again and do the pacifist ending.
And getting the genocide ending makes it impossible to ever get the true pacifist ending.
And there's all kinds of secrets and shit to find, not only in the game but in the data too. There's one character who's entire existence is being partially dummied out and he's now trapped in the programming with no proper way of interacting with the game world or the player character.
No fourth wall exists whatsoever so the characters know when you save and reset and I don't know whether they're addressing the character or me.
Literally every decision you make ends up affecting your outcome.
There's too much story to keep track of.

While the Neutral endings can be slightly different the only ones with major changes from the Neutral ending are the True and Genocide ones.

neutral just has different variances on who you befriend/kill
genocide is grindy but will only take you anywhere from 1-2 hours to get to the end boss depending on how much you already know. The bosses are worth the trouble, plus a different perspective on the world shows itself if you go down that path

For pacifist, you don't have to kill anything. For genocide, you have to actively seek out enemies and kill them from the start of the game. So, you're gonna play the game twice anyway.
