That sounds dumb. Animal Crossing's themes are similar to HM, but the game play and draw points wouldn't work if they swapped time mechanics.
I want a much larger village with nice cliffs and crazy, cool ramps with 15 villagers, like the first game. I also think it would be really cool if you could swim in the river to collect fossils, or some type of cave area where you could mine ore and collect creepy blind cave bugs/fish.
Shading like the Wii U Zelda rather than that disgusting donut glaze in New Leaf

Interchangeable view points (Third-person, general top down, etc.), a weather machine, more ways to interact with villagers and the world around you, being able to actually order saplings and plants.

More things to do and more places to go to, New Leaf felt very lacking in the areas you could go to, I'd love to go to the mountains or the countryside, or even a bustling city with various villagers and perhaps even other player characters. (Obviously a Miiverse kind of thing.)

I was thinking of an idea for a restaurant, and encourage eating once a day. Like if you haven't eaten that day your character will pause and their stomach will growl, sort of like tripping.
Then the food could have a system like Monster Hunter's eating, where you choose certain ingredients and they'd have certain perks like increased item or money luck, or making fishing easier for that day or something.
The restaurant would work like Tom Nook's shop and start out small and the more you eat at it the bigger it would get, the cook could even ask you to occasionally get him ingredients for a special meals or upgrading your menu.
It's just a rough idea, but more stuff like that would be really great.
