Is professional wrestling staged? Absolutely, and everyone knows it. Professional wrestling is highly-choreographed and incredibly practiced performance art. There's a real chance of someone getting seriously hurt if they fuck up trying to cushion a blow.
Some people think it's fun to watch larger than life personas act out elaborate storylines with a big physical element.
I don't watch wrestling anymore myself (I stopped in the early 90s), but I can totally understand why people like it and why it's stayed popular.
I wish it would've been WWE13, with the pin glitch fixed.
Literally the only reason I'm happy is for character creation. The only redeemable quality of these games.

I'm saying he wrestled for years before getting his chance in WWE thanks to his reality TV run, and then wrestled in WWE for years, worked his way to the top, and formed a connection with the crowd before he got his WM main event. On some level, he earned that position.
Roman Reigns started wrestling in 2010 in a WWE program that he got into thanks to his family name, and has never paid his dues.He came up on the roster in a stable that wasn't even meant for him (Kassius Ohno was supposed to be in his spot, but WWE officials shoved him in instead) that was designed to hide his flaws. Since the stable broke up he hasn't evolved at all as a performer. He kept the Shield attire, theme, and entrance because he has nothing else. He still wrestles singles matches as if he's constantly taking one man hot tags because he has nothing else. He's never had to struggle or improve himself as a performer, and if they just hand him the championship because he's pretty then he'll never have a reason to improve and we'll be stuck for the next decade with a top star wrestling the same boring matches, giving the same boring promos, and just being a complete disaster overall, and professional wrestling can't survive for another decade with another John Cena.
The ratings for the build up to WM31 were the lowest they've been for a WrestleMania build up since WWE were getting their asses kicked in the Monday Night Wars, and they're going to keep going down unless WWE changes something, and Roman Reigns is clearly not that change.

1st off, define sport, my answer depends on your own preconceived notion of "sport".
Pro Wrestling is entertainment, bottom line.
But you have to be very tough, mentally and physically, it's extremely demanding.
If you define sport as a competition, then, well, we compete with other entertainment products, you always compete against the other guys, wanting to have more entertaining matches.
So I don't know what to tell you, really.
